Sim Building
The oldest building on Main Street was erected in 1833 as a residence for Dr. William Sim, the first doctor in Pope County and member of the Illinois Legislature. After a fire in the early 1920's the inside was modified and enlarged by Judge Anderson with an apartment upstairs and offices on the ground floor. It is now a private residence.
