Golconda Illinois - Rich Past Bright Future

J.C. Baker Building

Although this building was constructed in 1903, it replaced the building John C. baker built for the post office in 1898. J.C. Baker was the postmaster from 1898 until his death in 1911. Present owners, Paul and Beverly Kunath have restored and remodeled the building to house Watson True Value and the upper floor into Main Street Bed & Breakfast.
